Father, How can I make sense of you?
Boundless, Infinite, marvelous
I can’t put your majesty in words
Look at all you’ve done for me
I am eternally grateful
You tell me it is all true
That I can trust you
and stay in your embrace
Forevermore
You rescued me when I was your enemy
When I fought the light
And enjoyed the dark
You saved me, God
And showed me freedom
You gave me stable ground
A Friend I can rely on
You are so faithful, Jesus
When I am a cheating bride
You are still so faithful
And you never love me any less
How can it be true?
Can you really be that good?
A vision of your face…
Blood and dirt in your wrinkles
Your eyes twinkle at me
And you say
It is all true.
How can you love me so much, God
When I can’t even love myself
I vow to walk with you the rest of my days
Until we meet face to face
And I will say
It is all true
Bravo, bravo, Magnificent!

Very good now you can write one in 17th century English poetry. I expected to mean double spaced and with a wonderful use of automatopia as well as the use of the King James Version. By the way what is the cheating bride? I didn’t think they existed.
